The International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), established in 2009 and located in Braga, Portugal, is an advanced research institution created by the governments of Portugal and Spain. It is the first international and fully interdisciplinary research organization in Europe dedicated to nanotechnology and nanoscience.

INL's mission is to conduct cutting-edge research and foster innovation across various scientific fields, addressing significant global challenges. The laboratory focuses on areas such as nanobiotechnology, nanoelectronics, nanomedicine, and materials science. Its facilities support a range of activities, from fundamental research to the development of applied technologies.

The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation for micro and nanofabrication, advanced microscopy, nanophotonics, and material testing, allowing researchers to engage in high-precision studies and technology development. INL also hosts several specialized departments, including Micro and Nanofabrication, Nanoelectronics Engineering, Life Sciences, and Quantum Materials Science and Technology.

INL collaborates extensively with international research centers, universities, and industry partners to promote interdisciplinary research and technological advancements. It is also involved in various European networks and platforms aimed at advancing nanotechnology applications in different sectors.
